AppleNoir - Applejack in Noir style

This is a pretty well-done image. It captures the idea of a 50's noir style of Applejack, while maintaining its simplicity, and keeping the original FiM art style. I especially like the hat, and how clean the shading is. It clearly defines the depth of the hat, without adding any to the 2D flash-style art that Applejack is from. The "hay roll" as you put it, is also a nice touch, despite hooves not logically being able to hold it, but since when does the show enforce logic?

On the other hand, while I do like the idea of the sunglasses, I think you could have done a better job. The glasses are flat, and lack reflectivity. This could be fixed by adding simple white streaks. I also don't like how her left eye goes above the top of the lens, with no iris to boot, as this creates the impression that she is lacking irises, almost like a zombie or something. This could be fixed by adding a small part of her iris visible above the lens, or by ultimately removing the eye, leaving it completely concealed by the sunglasses.

All-in-all, it's a fairly nice deviation, drawn with room for improvement, but with a judgable amount of skill and potential.
